Jobless rate jumps
The nation's unemployment rate took its biggest jump in more than two decades in May, according to a government report. The unemployment rate soared to 5.5 percent from 5 percent in April, the biggest one-month jump since February 1986. CNNMoney.com reports the study also shows 49,000 jobs were cut in May. full story
